White Violets

March each year our lawn erupts with a delightful show: White violets. There is also a smattering of the more traditional kind and ones with shades between blue and white.

  1. Hi Ludwig, how nice to see a new post and these lovely lawn flowers. When we lived in VA, we also had these over the lawn and elsewhere. I particularly like the darker purple ones, although the variety of colors is amazing. We also had some that were yellow, do you as well? I hope all is well in GA as it is with us in NH and after our 2nd vaccine a couple of weeks ago, we will be visiting RI family at Easter, first visit in 16 months...but who's counting? (we are)

  2. Thank you very much, Beatrice. No yellow ones here. The dandelions and mock strawberries seem to have an exclusive on that color. We are doing well, or as well as can be expected when one is growing old and feeble, haha.

  3. Ludwig, just remember that we are only as old as we feel and so if you don't feel that way, then no worry. We hope that you and Bev have a Happy Easter weekend
